OPC UA Parts 1 - 8 available for final review. Expected release August 16:  The latest Release Candidate versions for Parts 1 - 8 of the OPC Unified Architecture Specification have recently been posted and are available for download and review by all OPC Foundation members.  The Technical Advisory Council has also been asked to make a final review and approve their release by August 16, 2008.  Reviewers may submit written comments (or commented versions of the docs) by sending them to UAComments_AT_opcfoundation.org.

Independent Certification Test Lab Passes OPC Audit:  The OPC Compliance Committee recently completed an audit of the new OPC Foundation Independent Certification Test Lab in Erlangen Germany run by ascolab. The audit reviewed all processes and procedures used by the Independent Certification Test Lab with an eye on improvement wherever possible. The key goals of the audit were to ensure a very consistent and reproducible process for all testing and to ensure that the testing process was as complete and efficient as possible. The audit team was composed of a team with extensive experience in testing, auditing and OPC. [Full Story]

2008-05-28	Updated OPC UA Release Candidate Specifications
	Updated Release Candidate Specifications for OPC UA Parts 3 and 5 are available for Members to download.
2008-05-10	Core Components and .NET API Update
	Updates to the Core Components, the .NET API and the associated sample code are now available. This release includes the 64-bit versions of the proxy/stubs and fixes issues that prevented .NET API applications from running on x64 systems. All redistributable binaries and installers are now signed by the OPC Foundation.
2008-04-09	SDK Update with COM DA Proxy Support
	The COM-DA Proxy has been added to the distribution. A seperate MSI containing the source for the sample applications is also available.
2008-03-28	Updated OPC UA Release Candidate Specifications
	Updated Release Candidate Specifications for OPC UA Parts 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 are available for Members to download.
2007-10-29	New Version of the UA SDK Available
	This version includes the Local Discovery Server and UA TCP implementations in C# and C/C++
