The DHX OPC Server Suite includes, on a single DVD, Cyberlogic’s OPC Server and its complete set of DHX
device drivers for Allen-Bradley industrial networks. It communicates with any combination of
Allen-Bradley controllers using any or all of the popular A-B networks.
Because the suite comprises all of the needed pieces, installation of the software is simple and
easy. Users are assured that all components are compatible and all are at the same revision level.
And, as with all Cyberlogic software products, unlimited free technical support from Cyberlogic is
included.
The single-supplier approach allows Cyberlogic to optimize the communications at the driver,
transaction and server level. The resulting speed and network-load performance is superior to
competing “mix-and-match” server setups. In addition, the server offers unsolicited data updates
with advanced message filtering from unwanted data sources to ensure data integrity and security.
This is the server of choice for mission-critical applications, because you can lose a connection,
a controller or even an entire network and still get the data you need. When the faulted equipment
comes back on-line, the server switches back to the primary path as soon as it verifies that the
connection is reliable. To achieve this, Cyberlogic’s Server allows users to set up an unlimited
number of redundant networks and backup controllers to ensure uninterrupted data exchange. The
server monitors the health of every path used to access data, automatically switching to the
backup paths or sources when it detects a problem.
The DHX OPC Server is also available as part of the DHX OPC Premier Suite, combining the OPC server
with our unique OPC Crosslink feature. The Premier Suite thereby allows you to pass data directly
between PLCs, between OPC DA servers, and between PLCs and OPC DA servers. This data bridging can
be achieved even if the source and destination devices are different models, brands or spec
levels. A combination of the DHX and MBX OPC Premier Suites will even allow data transfer between
A-B and Modicon controllers.
