OPC Crosslink Suite
|Product Category: Server||Target User: End User|
|OPC Crosslink is available in two packages: the OPC Crosslink Suite and the OPC Crosslink Premier Suite.|
The OPC Crosslink Premier Suite includes everything you get in the OPC Crosslink Suite, plus the
Math & Logic feature.
Math & Logic lets you write programs to perform mathematical or logical operations on any data
items that are available to the OPC server. The results are available as OPC data to any attached
OPC client. With Cyberlogic's Math & Logic, you write the programs in the server, where all of the
data is available in one location, so the programs can be written one time, with one editor, using
one language. You won't have multiple versions to maintain in multiple locations. Cyberlogic's
C-Logic™ programming language is similar to C, so it is easy to learn. It also provides functions,
data types, editing tools and debugging aids that you won't find in PLCs or client applications.
And because the programs are compiled, they run far faster than is possible with interpreted code.

All OPC Crosslink products allow users to bridge data between OPC servers, create an OPC data
concentrator or set up redundant OPC servers. The suite includes Cyberlogic’s OPC server and its
OPC DA Driver Agent. It communicates over Ethernet with any OPC server that is compliant to OPC
Data Access specifications 3.0, 2.05a or 1.0a.
The server can be configured as an OPC data bridge, transferring data from one OPC DA server to
another. Data read from an OPC server may be written to one or more other OPC servers, and may
also be written back to the same OPC server. These transfers can be configured to occur at
scheduled intervals, when the data changes, or when a trigger condition occurs. The source and
destination DA servers need not be of the same brand or even of the same specification level.
Where system reliability is critical, the OPC Crosslink and OPC Crosslink Premier Suites allow an
unlimited number of OPC servers to be configured as redundant OPC servers. The Suite has
integrated fault-tolerant communication features not found in other OPC servers. Multiple,
priority-based access paths can be used to build a true redundant communication architecture. The
built-in Health Watchdog monitors the health of all connections. The auto-switching access paths
can be configured to quickly redirect communications to an unlimited number of redundant OPC
This versatile suite can also be configured as an OPC DA data concentrator, aggregating data from
many servers into one. And because Cyberlogic's OPC server complies with OPC Data Access
specifications 3.0, 2.05a and 1.0a, it can obtain data from OPC servers that meet any of these
spec levels, and can then provide it to OPC clients that require any of these levels. In so doing,
it serves as a specification level translator between mismatched servers and clients that could
not otherwise work together.
Powerful configuration tools allow users to import the configuration from other OPC servers,
configure a minimal server setup with a single mouse click, and access all the tags in each OPC
server without any user configuration. For enhanced security, write operations can be disabled for
some or all of the data sources at data item, folder, device, device folder or network node
The OPC Crosslink Suite is built on Cyberlogic's Universal OPC Server architecture, which is
compliance-certified by the OPC Foundation’s Independent Certification Test Lab. As with all
Cyberlogic software products, unlimited free technical support from Cyberlogic is included.
A full-featured download is available at www.cyberlogic.com. It will run continuously for two weeks
and in two-hour segments thereafter. Cyberlogic also offers the Cyberlogic Developer Network,
providing free licensing for development and testing. Details are available on our website.
