groov is Opto 22’s simple way to build and view mobile operator interfaces to monitor and control virtually all automation systems and equipment from smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Using only a modern web browser, groov lets you quickly and securely build and deploy browser-based interfaces for automation, monitoring, and control applications. These operator interfaces can then be viewed on almost any computer or mobile device regardless of brand, operating system, or size.

GROOV-AR1 has just three main components:

- groov Box—A self-contained, industrially hardened appliance that includes two independent 1-GB Ethernet interfaces and USB expansion for wireless LAN interfaces. This second-generation groov Box has a solid-state fanless design with no moving parts, a wide 0-70 °C (32-158 °F) operating temperature range, and a compact footprint. The Box includes all groov software.

- groov Build—The browser-based software you use to build operator interfaces and set user permissions and security. No plugins are required (no Java, no Silverlight, no Flash). No coding or programming is required. To build, you drag and drop from a library of touchscreen-ready gadgets, then apply tags from your existing tag database. No tag limits.

- groov View—The interface you’ve built, which authorized users can view on just about any web-enabled device equipped with a modern web browser. You can monitor and control your system or equipment from anywhere. No user or device limits; no user fees.

GROOV-AR1 works with a wide variety of automation systems and equipment.
