OOUAMiddleware

OOUAMiddleware is an industrial OPC UA middleware platform developed by 4CE Industry, designed to integrate heterogeneous industrial systems through a model-driven architecture compliant with IEC 62541.

Unlike conventional protocol gateways, OOUAMiddleware uses the OPC UA information model as the core of its runtime architecture. OPC UA NodeSets, including Companion Specifications and application-specific models, are loaded and instantiated directly at runtime without requiring source-code generation.

Multiple information models can coexist within the same OPC UA AddressSpace, retaining their namespaces, types and relationships.

Industrial Connectivity

OOUAMiddleware aggregates data from PLCs, industrial controllers, existing OPC UA servers and legacy systems through modular Virtual Protocol Interfaces (VPI). Supported integration technologies include OPC UA, OPC Classic, Modbus, Siemens S7 and EtherNet/IP.

The connectivity layer remains separated from the information model, allowing industrial data sources to evolve without requiring changes to the model itself.

OPC UA Runtime Capabilities

The platform supports OPC UA Server and Client functionality, structured information modeling, Methods, Events, Alarms & Conditions, Historical Access and redundancy mechanisms.

Its runtime architecture supports dynamic AddressSpace management and the execution of industrial information models.

Industrial Data Persistence

Virtual File Interfaces (VFI) provide integration with persistence solutions, including SQL databases, CSV, binary storage and Apache Parquet.

Historical data can be exposed through OPC UA Historical Access, independently of the underlying persistence technology.

Integration with Industrial Applications

OOUAMiddleware exposes structured industrial information to SCADA, MES, industrial analytics and enterprise applications through OPC UA interfaces.

Its modular architecture also supports extensions such as MCP integration, enabling AI agents to explore OPC UA information models and access available industrial data.

Deployment and Licensing

OOUAMiddleware is available for industrial deployment without runtime licensing fees. Technical support, integration services and industrial project assistance are provided by 4CE Industry.
