Wireless Machine Tool Peripherals
OPC 40505 Wireless Machine Tool Peripherals
| Description | Wireless Machine Tool Peripherals (WMTP) are components that are used in machine tools for various machining tasks and can transmit acquired data wirelessly. WMTPs can be, for example, static tool holders or driven tool units. These are intermediate components between the machine tool and the machining tools. By means of sensors, process data such as temperature, vibrations, humidity, etc. can be recorded in these components and used for process monitoring. The specification defines the industry-specific (manufacturer-independent) process parameters in alignment to the “Industrial Measurement Devices” Bluetooth standard for WMTP. |
