Scope / Goals
In this working group members of various companion specification working groups and modelling experts meet to harmonize companion specifications models. The working group is responsible for the companion specification template and forms sub-teams to define common modelling constructs usable in a generic way.
Steps to achieve the goal:
- Review companion specifications and scan for common / generic information elements.
- Identify overlapping but incompatible definitions and suggest harmonized common base classes – eventually specified by OPC UA or other common information models.
- Give advice on modelling; create modeling best practices white paper(s).
- Prepare draft specifications for common features to be integrated in other working group specifications
- Create additional specifications for common features (generic models) if necessary
- Identify and educate about tools that facilitate the specification work
- Improve the templates
