A sub-group to define a base infrastructure to model material and resource flows.
In many industries, different material is transported from one place to another, using different technologies (like oil or gas in a pipe, tank truck or ship; work pieces on a conveyer belt or an AGV (autonomous guided vehicles), etc.). Those industries include process automation, energy sector, laboratory and analytical domain, mining, factory automation, etc. The common model could define the current throughput, maximum throughput, what material or resource can be transported, etc. on a rather abstract layer to harmonize the management and monitoring of those material flows.
