Brian Reynolds – Honeywell Projects & Automation Solutions
Brian Reynolds is the Chief Technology Officer at Honeywell Projects & Automation Solutions, with more than 30 years of experience in industrial automation, process control, and safety systems. He is responsible for technology vision, strategy, and execution across global engineering organizations, overseeing the development of distributed control systems, safety platforms, and next‑generation industrial automation solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
Brian has led the delivery of multiple major product releases and breakthrough initiatives, including modernized control and safety system architectures, universal I/O, cybersecurity enhancements, and software platforms supporting oil and gas, chemicals, life sciences, energy storage, and advanced manufacturing. His experience spans the full product lifecycle, from market requirements and architecture through global development, validation, and deployment. Brian is also the product owner for Experion, Honeywell’s flagship distributed control system. Under his direction, Experion and its associated controllers and gateway modules are architected with OPC UA at their core, enabling secure, scalable, and interoperable data exchange across the industrial enterprise. His leadership has driven the adoption of OPC UA information models and services across control platforms, edge gateways, and system integrations. Brian is a strong advocate for standards‑based interoperability, secure industrial communications, and collaboration across the automation ecosystem
