Scope / Goals
Develop specifications for the communication of weighing systems. Main scope is to transport weight and weight related data of a weighing instruments vertically into higher level manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, etc.) for information and diagnostic purposes and to set information parameters regarding the weighing process (e.g. tare weight, offsets).
Technical overview
The scope is to exchange relevant data for information and diagnostic purposes as well as to set configuration and production parameters such as target weight, tare weight and offsets. The information model also provides type specific data of the weighing instrument/system.
