A working group which is responsible for defining and maintaining the certification testing for core OPC specifications. This group also manages the general OPC certification program, which include the test labs and the certification of related technologies like TSN and Ethernet APL as they relate to OPC. The group also manages general concepts related to certification of companion specifications. This group meets weekly.

- Maintains test scripts distributed with the Compliance Test Tools (CTT)
- Discuss reported issues for test cases, test scripts and test tools
- Certification Program
- Specifies the compliance test specifications
- Defines the concepts for compliance, certification and interoperability testing.
- Defines the criteria and accreditation for certification labs.
- Defines and develops interactions with other certification bodies for shared standard such as Ethernet APL and TSN
- Hosts the Interoperability Workshop (IOP) Task Force which is working on the IT Infrastructure and Interoperability test cases used during those events.
