The OPAF – FLC Working Group is an initiative of the Open Process Automation™ Forum (OPAF) and the OPC UA Field Level Communications (FLC). The purpose of this group is to develop a set of information modelling recommendations for the UAFX and OPAS standard specifications.

The scope of the OPAF – FLC Working Group is to:
- Review the existing information models included in the UAFX and OPAS specification generally with a goal to recommend proposed convergence so that the two standards share models which they have in common.
- Specifically review the UAFX Connections model and recommend how it could be used as a normative definition for the OPAS OCFB use of OPC UA pub/sub.
- Specifically investigate and recommend how the UAFX Connections model could be extended to support UA client/server subscriptions.
- Create recommendations for Profiles and Facets which the UAFX and OPAS standards could use in common.
