Since a few days ago, I received an error when I try to connect to the OPC Server. The error says:
OPC.SimaticNET.1 caused COM/OPC error 0x80070721 on IConnectionPoint.Advise()
Error string: A security package specific error occurred.
Additional: Could not establish data callback connection on group ''
Interface address is 0x04A2C424
Vendor detail: SIMATIC NET OPC-Server DataAccess-V2.05/3.0 (C) SIEMENS AG 2008
I don't know how to solve this problem. I check the default permissions and all seems OK in both side. I think that something change in the server side because the error arise in all the PC in my lan. Indeed the problem occurs with ohters OPC Server installed in this server. Also before the previous error we obtain a 0x80004005 DCOM error.
To try to solve all the tings that can cause the problem, I followed the 0x80040202 and 0x80004005 DCOM error documents from the OPC Foundation. All the settings seems to be OK.
I hope some one can raise light over this troubleshooting.

This is definitely DCOM.
Can you prepare a Word DOCX containing screenshots of all of your DCOM settings; there will be a lot of screenshots. Also, can you provide screenshots of your Firewall configuration as it relates to OPC, and any Local Policies. I would recommend sending that document to your vendors for assistance as they will have definitely encountered this problem before, and are there to provide support for you. If they can't help, then send the document(s) to me at compliance@opcfoundation.org and I'll see if I can spot any problems.
