I'm trying to develop an OPCHDA client in C#.

I found opcnetapi.dll and a host of other libraries opcrcw/opccom etc.

but can't find any documentation regarding the same.

Where can I find them?

The HDA sample client application is the best source of information on how to use the API.

when I try to download the samples from the OPC foundation site it does not have access/privileges.

If you are not a OPC Foundation member then the vendor who supplied the .NET API DLLs to you has an obligation to support you.
