Hi, I would like to ask if the gbda_aut.dll and opcdaauto.dll are free when they are used in production? If licenses are required, how can I get them?

Those DLLs are not distributed by the OPC Foundation. Check the file properties to figure out who you need to contact.

Hi Randy, thank you for your reply. I checked the file properties. OPC Fundation had copyright of opcdaauto.dll between 1997-2005. Does the expiration of copyright on this file mean that the dll file now is free to use?

Any OPClassic binary file provided by the OPC Foundation is covered under:

https://opcfoundation.org/lice…../index.htm

This license only allows the file to redistributed if the software linking to it was built by someone who was/is an OPC Foundation corporate member. Is suspect the gbda_auto.dll is that software so you need to identify the source of the DLL and find out what their license agreement is. Once you have that you can distribute opcdaauto.dll with gbda_auto.dll.

More importantly, it is the authors of gbda_auto.dll which are responsible for supporting both DLLs when they deliver them to their customers.
