OPC DA client for "simple" value transfer|Classic OPC: DA, A&E, HDA, XML-DA, etc.|Forum|OPC Foundation

I'm new to OPC DA 2.05. So far, I'm working on an application where I need to write a a two-digit number to a item in a Beckhoff server. The value is stored in a .txt file and so far I have created a simple client in Python 2.7 and OpenOPC to scan the file and write the value if it changes. My question is - are there any simple OPC DA clients available for purchase that supports this function? For now, this is all the integration needs to do.

We can only transfer the value via OPC as the machine is a closed system (transferring the file via ftp or fileshare and then reading the file on the machine's control system itself is not possible).
