OPC foundation has a new release (version 107) for classic OPC. I downloaded and went through these files, but failed to find anything new for me except Nugget tool. Can anyone tell me what point is for that new release? Some projects requested VS 2008, very confusing.

No code was changed. This was just an update to the the installers.

Specifically:

Every binary is now signed with SHA256 (a requirement for new systems);

The installers had a dependency on .NET 2.0 which was removed.

The NuGet packages provide the components that used to be in the installers.
