Hi Team,

We are following https://apps.opcfoundation.org.....reporting/ portal for the test cases as a part of client certification. In Minimum UA Client Profile and in Security conformance uni, it is mentioned about test cases of security algorithms. As per the OPT column this algorithm is not optional but the description saying This algorithm does not apply.

Could you please confirm about these test cases whether it is mandatory or optional and whats the meaning of This algorithm does not apply.

PFB table from the portal.

SymmetricSignatureAlgorithm_None This algorithm does not apply. SecurityPolicy – None Open
SymmetricEncryptionAlgorithm_None This algorithm does not apply. SecurityPolicy – None Open
AsymmetricSignatureAlgorithm_None This algorithm does not apply. SecurityPolicy – None Open
AsymmetricEncryptionAlgorithm_None This algorithm does not apply. SecurityPolicy – None Open
KeyDerivationAlgorithm_None This algorithm does not apply. SecurityPolicy – None Open

Thanks.

For consistency the profiles have a security conformance unit defined even when no security is used. In these cases, there is no "algorithm" to specify because no algorithm is used.
