Hi, I am a tester In OPC UA CTT, Security User X509 section, there is test 007.js: "Activate a session using an application instance certificate in place of a user certificate" But I can not find a place in the Specification where it says about it exectly Tell me please, I really can not send an application certificate instead of a user certificate? And why? Thank you

Hello,

this is an error test case and it is not expected that the server accepts the connection but returns the proper error code. The test case expects the Bad_IdentityTokenInvalid StatusCode to be returned.

Hello Inna,

the quickest you'll find it in Part 4 where the status code is defined:

UA Part 4: Services - 7.38.2 Common StatusCodes

You'll also find helpful information in Part 6:

UA Part 6: Mappings - 6.2 Certificates

UA Part 6: Mappings - 6.2.3 User Certificates

For more detailed background you will also need to check the RFC 5280 and its updates.

I hope this helps,
