We have a datatype Uint16 which has certain limits (Min and Max) for that parameter.

we are planning to give this parameter nodeid in the server settings below:

Server Test/Node Ids/Static/DA Profile/AnalogItemType

Now we wanted to know two things:

1. Whether we are giving the parameter node id details in the correct place (Server Test/Node Ids/Static/DA Profile/AnalogItemType) which has the Range.

2. How and where to specify the Range limits (Min Max values) of that node id.

THe AnalogItemType or one of its subtypes is the correct VariableType

The Range is a different Node with its own NodeId.

There is a HasProperty reference from the Variable to the EURange Node.

You set the Range setting the Value of the EURange Node.

The AnalogItemType is to correct place in the CTT to configure the given node.  The CTT will, when needed for a test, pull the Limits from the given variable, so you do not have to configure the limits for the variable in the CTT, as long as they are specified in the Server.
