Hi Team,

This is to know about timeline of OPC Certification. We are planning to apply for OPC Certification in the month of June. We would like to know after applying for OPC Certification, how much time interval will be there to start actual evaluation of product ? Also, want to know about available time slots in the month of June ?

I found one FAQ on Forum FAQ: How do I get started with Certification ? wherein, it is mentioned that there is an option for scheduled testing. Could you please provide more details on this ?

Thanks you

Hi Dipika,

Usually we are able to schedule certification testing within 4 weeks after registration. But there are times, especially when important trade shows are coming up, when resources are being blocked way in advance.

What is described in the FAQ is that during the registration process for the certification testing, you list an “Earliest testing date” which describes when the product will be ready for testing. With this information the assigned certification lab will check their schedule and together with the vendor they will find a working time slot for the testing.

If desired by the vendor, it is also possible to register a timeslot already weeks or months in advance to ensure there are still available resources for testing in the desired time slot.
