Hello all,

based on the 'Standardized Address Space Guideline 1.0 Beta' we need some clarifications.

Our own Nano server implementation will pass the CTT test scripts with "only" warnings. Especially the CU Address Space Model and Base Information will be passed without problems. But now the Guideline talks about
- Arrays (single dimension, multi-dimension, and client-configurable)
- "Mass" quantities of Nodes
- Views.

Single dimensional array will be supported, but the rest of the list will not be implemented. We are not sure how the CTT variables should look like for certification. Is the Reference Server from the OPC UA Sample Applications the right template?

Regards

Martin

Hello Martin,

First: congratulations on the successful development of your Server. Passing the CTT with warnings only is a worthy accomplishment.

So, just like in your other post you're not required to support all data-types. It is good that you will support single dimension arrays as those can be quite helpful. It is no problem that the rest of the list will not be implemented within your server.

The OPCF Reference Server is a good template. But please remember, the standardized address space is a guideline and not a requirement, so please feel free to deviate a little where it makes sense for you and your server.

Hello Nathan,

thanks for congratulations. Additionally thanks for your clarification about the required data-types. I had the opinion that a server must support all builtin-types.

Regarding the OPCF Reference Server and the guideline it is nice to hear that some devations are possible.

Regards,
Martin
