Greetings,
I am following this guide on getting a UA Client configured for certification: https://opcfoundation.org/wp-c.....elines.pdf
In section 2.1 on Server Connections, the UA Client has a broken link to the OPC Foundation's UA Sample Server that points to here: https://opcfoundation.org/deve.....lications/
Since the link is broken, I am unsure of which version of the UA Sample Server I should be using, so I have a few questions here:
1. Which version of the UA Sample Server should we configure against? Is it always the newest version of the UA Sample Server?
2. Where is the newest version of the UA Sample Server hosted?
3. Previous certification reports show that for UA Client interoperability testing, multiple products were used for this part (OPCF UA Sample Server, OPCF UA Reference Server, Unified Automation's CPP Demo Server, Softing's .NET Demo Server). Should we also provide our client configured with those servers or are they to be manually configured by the lab tester during certification?

Hi,
Thanks for the hint regarding the broken link. We'll take a look at the links in the Guideline and update them. To answer your questions:
I would recommend to not configure against the Sample Server but use the Reference Server of the UA-.NETStandard as a reference server. The Reference Server has been tested in more detail lately, so you will find everything you need integrated in it.
- The exact version shouldn't matter as the NodeIds are quite static and therefore it doesn't make much difference. What we will be doing in the lab is executing the test cases with the latest version available in the GitHub repository UA-.NETStandard.
- Those sample implementations are available in the UA-.NETStandard of the OPC Foundation on GitHub:
https://github.com/OPCFoundati.....ETStandard - During the testing we will be using a minimum of 5 different reference servers which will be selected during the testing. We do have approx. 25 reference servers available in the cert lab. For preparation we recommend to test the client against the available reference servers of the well known SDK vendors as a minimum. The selected servers will then be configured by the testers in the cert lab. If help is needed for the configuration, the testers will get in contact with the vendor.
