Hi Team,

I have a question regarding Missing NamespaceUri and ModelURI in NodeSet.xml (in any Companion Spec.).

As per UA Schema file and UASpec. Part 6, it is not mandatory to provide NamespaceUri and ModelURI, so , in this case, how do we handle creation of Companion Spec Type System in our AddressSpace. Which namespace URI will the Companion Spec. set to create NodeId's?

Also, I would like to know how big can be the size of Companion Spec.xml file?

Regards,

Shubhi Gogna

Failure to set the NamespaceUri and ModelUri consistently is an error that needs correction.

The nodeset needs to be fixed before it can be processed.

There is no specific upper limit on file size, however, extremely large (>100MB) will be a problem for many applications.

Thanks Randy. It seems then that Schema file should be updated to have minOccur > 0 for NameSpaceUri and ModelURI

There are semantic requirements which cannot be captured in the XML schema.

i.e. the core UA nodeset file is allowed to have an empty namespace URI array but no one else is.

See spec clarification:
