For a long time we have distributed the older OPC UA LDS 1.02 and OPC UA Sample Applications 1.02 by installing 2 MSI files that were provided by the Foundation (to the best of my knowledge). The files were "OPC UA Local Discovery Server 1.02.msi" and "OPC UA Sample Applications 1.02.msi".

We would like to distribute the newer UA .NET Standard Library COM Server Wrapper with our updated products, but there do not appear to be any installer packages available to download. We can only find the buildable Visual Studio solutions.

What is the correct way these days to deploy this component? Is an installer provided, or recommended guidelines?

Thank you

Dave

The LDS has been replaced by a C++ version. Please distribute that one:

Sample code is available on GitHub only.

If you want the wrapper you have to build it yourself from source code and take responsibility for supporting it.

Thanks for the info.

Does that apply to the whole UA Configuration tool that used to be installed with the sample apps? The security and certificate mgmt tools, etc. If we wanted to distribute those, we have to build and install them ourselves?

Thanks,

Dave

Yes. But you can get pre-built binaries in NuGet packages for some of the libraries. There are no MSIs.
