Has anyone gotten the .NET Standard reference server to run as a Windows service?

I'm looking for some sample code or techniques to get this to work.

I see that there is a WindowsService class in ApplicationInstance.cs, but I can't find any examples of using it. It doesn't appear to be complete.

Has anyone used it, or run this server as a Windows service? Could really use some help here, as what I'm trying is not working out.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

The code is likely left over from the move to NETStandard which caused some features to be abandoned because they are not compatible with .NET Core.

You can likely find the original working code in the .NET legacy repo.
