Hi,

I've got the OpcFoundation.NetStandard SDK and I've looked through the sample/reference applications and worked through some tutorials where the Server and Client applications are discrete Windows or Console applications.

What I'd like to do if it's possible with the Foundation's SDK is add an OPC Server to an existing Windows Desktop application (MVVM .NET Framework 4.6.2). I haven't seen any tutorials for this use case so far.

I have created a proof of concept using other SDKs and I had a stab at using the Foundation's SDK but have encountered some obstacles.

Has anyone seen a relevant tutorial or care to offer some advice about using the OpcFoundation.NetStandard SDK versus other SDKs?

Many thanks in advance,

Jason

Many of the sample in this repo are built against NET Framework 4.6.2:

Do the samples build and run for you?

Hi Randy,

Thank you for the reply. I have managed to build and run the samples. I've also been able to use commercial SDKs to incorporate an OPC UA server into a WPF application and expose data from the running application via OPC UA.

I'm reverse engineering the samples but perhaps there's a gap in the tutorials for a developer to start with an empty project and build a server from scratch with just the essential pieces necessary for the server to run and create a few nodes.
