OPC Server registration on LDS|OPC UA Implementation: Stacks, Tools, and Samples|Forum|OPC Foundation

I am working on a OPC Server based on the UA-ANSI STACK provided by the OPC UA Foundation. As a next step I would like to implement the registration to the local discovery server (LDS).
For me it is not clear if the Service is already implemented by the local discovery server. I use the LDS provided by the opcfoundation.
If I understood it right the server acts as client and establishes a secure connection to the LDS. Then, the server registers to the LDS by calling RegisterServer and RegisterServer2. In this case the implementation of the services of RegisterServer and RegisterServer2 on server-side (not LDS-side) must be similar to the Service implementations on client-Side calling the function OpcUa_Channel_InvokeService, right?
