Hello,

We have a solution that receives data from devices and should emit a certain data structure and data using OPC-UA.

For example:

/location/area/equipment/device/temperature

What is the best practice? Should we have the OPC-UA server recreate the data structure and data on startup based on the data stored in solution?

Or should we have the OPC-UA server store the data structure and data itself?

Regards,

Simon.

UA servers should not replicate information from a downstream system when possible

The may maintain a cache for performance reasons but you need logic to ensure this cache is kept up to date.
