Dear All,

My apologies for bringing this very basic question in the forum. I'm very new to OPCUA and I'm intending to connect to OPCUA server on a CNC machine (Siemens 840D controller). I had managed to connect through UA Expert Client application. Now I'm intending to develop a custom application to read the NodeIds and perform certain automation tasks. So I'm kind of lost, particularly using VB.NET as my base.

Any sample codes/manual would be of great help. Looking forward to hear. Thank you.

Regards,

Raghav

You will need to use the C# samples and use a tool to convert to VB code.

The suggestion from Randy Armstrong is using the open-source UA-.NETStandard repo. Check the licensing conditions (RCL for OPC Foundation members, GPL 2.0 all others).

There are also commercial toolkits and some may even have VB.NET examples.

Self-promotion - QuickOPC toolkit: Visit https://opclabs.doc-that.com/f.....value.html and switch to the VB.NET tab. There are many VB.NET included in this toolkit.
