Hi,

Does the OPC UA standard allow modifying OPC UA Status code descriptions to specific OPC UA Client application requirements to provide more detailed and relevant information to the end users of the client application?

For example: Updating certain OPC UA error code descriptions to add more app contextual information, possible fixes, etc.

I understand the OPC UA Status codes are fixed by the foundation, but are the status code description fixed as well?

Clients are free to handle errors in any way they see fit and is appropriate for the error.

There is no requirement to use the standard error strings.

Client may also request that the server provide additional diagnostics which could include additional context.
