Hello,

I'm wondering whether opc.typ endpoints are case sensitive. Looking into the spec I was not able to find anything, but that information may be hard to find.

I would assume that - if the spec does not say anything about it - the pertinent RFC should be followed. I have to admit I'm not 100% which one that might be, but in 3986 it says (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rf.....on-6.2.2.1) that scheme and host are case insensitive, while

"[..]The other generic syntax components are assumed to be case-sensitive unless specifically defined otherwise by the scheme [..]".

Since I did not find anything 'specifically defined otherwise' I would assume that this applies. Is that correct?

Thank you in advance and bR,

Thomas

The domain part of the URL is case insensitive because DNS is case insensitive.

Any text after the host/port would be case sensitive.

In what context does this matter?
