Hi,
As explained in the document (part 13 for aggregates), table 13 indicates the set of input and their expected out put type for each OPC defined aggregates.
Could some one please explain:
1) what is the type Duration talks about ?
2) What is the difference between “Numeric or Boolean” and “ALL” ?
regards,
Saurabh
Hi Saurabh,The full definition of Duration is in UA Part 3 clause 8.13 and I’ve included it below.
“8.13 Duration
This Simple DataType is a Double that defines an interval of time in milliseconds (fractions can be used to define sub-millisecond values). Negative values are generally invalid but may have special meanings where the Duration is used.”
Numeric is the class of types that are numbers. They can have math done on them. Boolean is similar to digital and has two states 0 and 1. If the aggregate says ALL it depends on the type the aggregate is used on. So if the aggregate is finding the Average of a set of Double type the returned type will be Double.
