OfflineHi there, I am working on a product to be used in pharma manufacturing and am interested in supporting batch/recipe management (in line with ISA-88) from a DCS/MES via OPC UA. The Batch classic specification sounds like what I want, but it also appears quite old and is maybe no longer used?
I thought maybe UA Part 8: DataAccess has replaced it, but a quick look at it doesn't mention any of these concepts.
Am I missing something? is Batch still a valid spec to follow? Is this now driven by MES/DCS vendors? TIA for any advice.

OfflineBatch management is in ISA88 (also listed as IEC MT61512). I believe the working group is still active, further more I have been contacted by the working group , they are expressing interest in starting work on an OPC UA companion specification for this IEC spec. But it would be a while before a companion spec would be available.

OfflineMT61512 is the global standard for Batch and is very much still a standard to follow.
MT61512 committee sits in IEC TC65 SC65A which I chair, we are very much active and just about to have published Part 1 revision. We are currently updating Part 2 &* Part 3, part of which is investigating an OPC UA Companion Specification for MT6152.
Please feel free to contact me directly dave.board@yokogawa.com, I'd be happy to provide an update of the works in progress and how to get involved if you want to get involved.
