Hi,
I haven’t found anything in the specification that states minimum number of SecureChannels that a server shall support.
Does anyone know of any such requirement and if so, does the minimum number of sessions need to be the same?

The number of secure channels needs to be >= the number of sessions + 2 to allow clients to call GetEndpoints when the maximum number of sessions are active.

You are correct in that the profile that describe minimum functionality for servers of certain classes does not describe this and the profiles should be updated to explicitly describe this. I have entered a mantis issue to track this change

Is it fair to require a device implementing the micro embedded profile to have 4 secure channels? Each channel must be able to handle at least 8192 bytes (minimum send/receive buffer sizes specified by the OPC UA TCP Hello/Acknowledge message in Part 6) in the send and receive direction respectively. This will require 16K memory per connection and in total 65K memory for just send/receive buffers for all connections.
