It's specified that a Property should be used to describe the characteristics of an Object, whereas a Variable should be used to describe the contents of an Object.
OPC 10000-8 shows how to model the units of Variable, with an EUInformation child Property.
When modelling a characteristic that has units, this cannot be done, as the Property used to describe the characteristic cannot itself have a child property.
Would it be better in this case to model the characteristic using a Variable (e.g. AnalogItemType), or to construct a DataType that has an EUInformation field?
