My question is regarding the behaviour that these Aggregates standards support.

Are these standards meant for:

1) Running data (i.e. one data value at a time submitted for aggregate calculation)

or

2) Historical data (i.e. All the past and future data known for aggregates calculation)

Regards,

Saurabh

Hello Saurabh,

Aggregates are merely the calculations you can perform on "data". The data could be historical (in a database) or live. Take a look at the specification for more information:

Hello Nathan,

I agree with you on it. But in the case of interpolation where you need data from the past as well as future, so when we are talking about the live scenario we don't have data from future. So does the specification provided in part 13 supports it?

Regards,

Saurabh

The main purpose of Part 13 is the specification of the aggregate functions. These functions can be used is two ways:

* with the ReadHistory Service (see UA Parts 4 and 11) for historical data

* with the AggregateFilter in Subscriptions/Monitored Data (see UA Part 4) for live data.
