I'm trying to understand the relation between the DataSetMetaData and the DataTypeSchemaHeader. For some sample data I have, I also have the DataTypeSchemaHeader as part if the data which actually is a meta message from the server. But I do not see anywhere in the specification (Part 14) where it talks about the relationship between the DataSetMetaData and the DataTypeSchemaHeader.

The DataTypeSchemaHeader is just mentioned in the Annex A of the specification, but where does it say what relation it has to the DataSetMetaData? Any pointers?

I have the spec with me, but my question was rather to understand what the relationship is between DataSetMetaData and DataTypeSchemaHeader!

If you look at the first link you will see a table of references that shows a HasSubType reference from DataTypeSchemaHeader to DataSetMetaData.

The first link is a human readable version of the NodeSet.

Ok I understand that it is a Sub Type relationship and to my understanding this would mean that the bytes of data should also contain both the DataTypeSchemaHeader and the DataSetMetaData. Is my assumption correct?
