Hi Team,
We are trying to understand the initial communication and metadata exchange between Publisher/Middleware/Subscriber.
We are not clear whether the subscriber (OPCUA Client) will ever be aware of the OPC UA Server? Or can a subscriber (OPCUA Client) work without making any communication with the OPC Server?

I just wanted to know how can a Subscriber know the list of Published DataSets from a Publisher, so that it can chose to subscribe to a subset of datasets that it is interested in.
One way is to check the DataSetMetaData messages sent by Publisher. What are the other ways?

In PubSub the subscriber does not need to know anything about the publisher.
When using a broker, the subscriber may not be able to connect to the publisher even if it had the URLs.
The metadata messages are the only way a subscriber can discover published datasets.
