Hello,

I'm browsing the profiles, trying to set requirements for an opc ua server I will be using.

For the server profiles, there is a category "Subscription Services". There it states a server should support at least 5 Publish Service requests per Session.

Can someone please explain me what that means? What exactly is a publish service request and how can this impact an application?

Does it mean you can only subscribe to 5 variables, and receive notifications when they change?

The number of publish service requests affects the number of subscriptions that a client can effectively use but it is not a linear relationship. It depends on how frequently notifications are generated in each subscription. It also affects how fast the client can get notifications when the network latency is high.
