Hi,
I have questions about the permitted the input nodes of the alarmConditionType nodes.
For an offNormalAlarmType node, is the data type of its input node required to be the same with the data type of its normalState node?
For a LimitAlarmType node, what happens if the value rank of its input node is not OpcUa_ValueRanks_Scalar?
Many Thanks,

Hong,
The OffNormalAlarmType node has a property NormalState that is a reference to a Node that has a value that represent the OffNormal Value, this value does not need to be the same datatype as the node referenced by the InputNode, in that the node referenced by the InputNode might have a datatype of enumeration, but the NormalState might be an integer. The datatype of the OffNormal node must be able to represent the value that is possible for the InputNode, for an example string datatype for the OffNormal Node where the InputNode is a boolean would not be allowed.
The LimitAlarmType has no discussion of scalar vs Array, but the limits are listed as double. I’ll add a Mantis for this issues since the specification should discuss this.
