Hi,

We have the Application description structure defined in ApplicationDescription

Could i add the serverCapabilityInformation to this description? The reason i ask this is because, the FindServers API, returns servers of the type ApplicationDescription. But does not contain any information about the server. (DiscoveryServer not capable of MulticastExtension)

So passing the serverCapabilityInformation could be a solution? But  does adding the fields to the ApplicationDescription structure would make it not compliant to OPC UA?

Please let me know.

Structures, once defined, cannot be changed.

When absolutely necessary the WG will define a new Structure DataType to add features, however, serverCapabilities is a ‘nice to have’ not a necessary feature.
