Hello,
With reference to Time Average description provided in section 5.4.3.6 , I have the following questions.
Note that this calculation always uses a sloped line between points.
1. Does this mean Time Average always uses Sloped interpolation?
2. If so , do we need to ignore the server settings( Stepped=true?)
3.The time average computations (formulas) done Historian 2 & Historian 3 inputs are not identical.
Historian 3 Configuration (Stepped=true, Sloped Extrapolation =true)
TimeStamp,Value,StatusCode
00:00:00,,Bad_NoData
00:00:02,10,Raw_Good
00:00:25,20,Raw_Good
00:00:28,25,Raw_Good
00:00:39,30,Raw_Good
Using the above input data, could you please compute Time Average for intervals 00:00:20 and 00:00:25?
I am unable to justify the documented results for these 2 intervals
12:00:20.000 | 10 | Good, Calculated |
12:00:25.000 | 22 | Good, Calculated |
Thanks & Regards
Samba
The answers to your questions.
1. Yes this aggregate always uses a sloped line between points.
2. Yes the stepped setting will always be ignored.
3. The example for TimeAverage Historian3 are invalid because they use a stepped line between points. I have entered a bug in the OPC Foundation bug tracker.
