Hi all,

I’m new here cause for the first time i’m using OPC UA to connect with machines.

It all seems pritty simple but i’ve one problem:
I have two machines:
Machine1: IP-address-1 – hostname1
Machine2: IP-address-2 – hostname2

The problem is that UAExpert and PLC connecting me always to Machine1 OPC-UA server, no matter wchich connection parameters i enter:

opc.tcp://IP-address-1:Port -> connected to Machine1 OPC UA Server

opc.tcp://hostname1:Port -> connected to Machine1 OPC UA Server

opc.tcp://IP-address-2:Port -> connected to Machine1 OPC UA Server

opc.tcp://hostname2:Port -> connected to Machine1 OPC UA Server

I’d ping two IP’s and in network they have correct/different hostnames.

Can you write me what could be a reason this happen? Maybe some network settings?

I’ve matched hostnames to ip addresses in C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file but it didn’t change anything.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Pawel

UA Expert should give you the option of ignoring the URL returned from GetEndpoints and using the one you provide.

Enter the URL with the IP address manually in the discover window and watch for the dialog.
