OPC Server Remote Configuration Client

The OPC Server Remote Configuration Client enables engineers and IT/OT professionals to securely manage distributed OPC servers from a single workstation, eliminating the need for remote desktop sessions or on-site access.

Users can remotely create, modify, and delete OPC server objects including channels, devices, and tags, exactly as if working directly on the host machine. All communication is encrypted via SSL/TLS, with no internet access or cloud services required. The tool integrates with the OPC server’s built-in User Manager to enforce role-based access control, ensuring only authorized personnel can make configuration changes.

An optional audit trail logs every configuration change to a central SQL database, capturing user identity, timestamp, and before/after values for full compliance traceability. Critically, the client requires no additional software or agents on the OPC server machine itself, keeping the server footprint clean and secure.

The OPC Server Remote Configuration Client supports both TOP Server and KEPServerEX platforms, providing unified remote management across your OPC server infrastructure.
