OPC UA Modeler is an authoring tool for OPC UA information models and companion specifications. You write the model as a concise YAML text file, and the modeler compiles it to a standard NodeSet2.xml (IEC 62541), a Symbols.CSV that keeps NodeIds stable between builds, and a publication-ready specification document with class diagrams in the OPC Foundation style.

Because the model is text, it lives in Git next to the NodeSet2.xml it produces, and changes are reviewed in a pull request like any other source code. Existing NodeSet2.xml files, including published companion specifications, can be reversed into YAML so they can be read, compared and extended.

The YAML format specification is published by Sterfive. OPC UA Modeler is built on node-opcua, the open source OPC UA stack maintained by Sterfive. A 30-day evaluation licence is available.
