Takashi Shibata – Mitsubishi Electric
Takashi Shibata is the General Manager of the OT Security Dept., and is leading Mitsubishi Electric’s company-wide OT security business development. He is also working for the company’s Industry and Mobility Business Area as technical expert.
He achieved a master’s degree in communication and computer science at Kyushu University, and joined Mitsubishi Electric in 1996.
In most of his career, he has been engaged in the development of PLC, particularly for communication including OPC UA, data processing and IoT. Until he assumed the current position just recently, he had been serving as the General Manager of Mitsubishi Electric’s PLC business, Representative Director of CC-Link Partner Association, and outside director of Anywire.
