
Matthias Damm – Unified Automation
Matthias Damm is founder and executive director of Unified Automation, the leading consulting, technology and toolkit provider for OPC Unified Architecture.
After graduating in electrical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Schweinfurt, Germany, he worked as team leader of an OPC development team at Siemens Industrial Services. In 2003 he founded ascolab and in 2006 he and two colleagues founded Unified Automation. At Unified Automation he is one of the managing directors and responsible for OPC Consulting & Standardisation.
Matthias is a member of the OPC Foundation Board of Directors, Technical Control Board, Technical Advisory Board and one of the editors of the OPC UA working group. He is also active in several OPC UA Collaboration working groups. He chairs the OPC Device Integration Working Group and the OPC UA MQTT Working Group. In other working groups he supports the working groups as an OPC UA expert.
